Thomas J. Geygan, Sr.

 

Thomas J. Geygan, Sr., was born, raised and educated in Cincinnati, graduating from Xavier University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1960 and from the University of Cincinnati College of Law with a Juris Doctor degree in 1963.  (While in law school he served as a Bankruptcy Trustee.)

After graduation and admission to the Bar in 1963, he served three years in the U.S. Air Force as an attorney for the Air Force (JAG).  Upon completion of his active service he resumed practicing bankruptcy law in Cincinnati and joined the Ohio Air National Guard where he served for an additional 21 years as a JAG, retiring in 1989 as a Lieutenant Colonel.

He devotes 95% of his practice to bankruptcy law.

He is a past president of the Cincinnati Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and is a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.

He is admitted to practice in all Ohio Courts and the United States Supreme Court.

 

Thomas J. Geygan, Jr.

 

Thomas J. Geygan, Jr. was born on a military base in Texas then raised and educated in the Greater Cincinnati Area, graduating from Xavier University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1993 and his Juris Doctor from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.

Prior to entering Xavier University he enlisted in the United States Air Force as Security Forces.  While in the Air Force he was the non-commissioned officer in charge of VIP protection in Honduras, trained friendly forces in Central America and Korea, Served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm, was deployed on 9/11 in support of Operations Noble Eagle and Enduring Freedom, He retired from the Ohio Air National Guard in December 2003.

He divides his practice between immigration and bankruptcy law.  His is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.  The Cincinnati Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. 

He is admitted to practice in all Ohio Courts, United States District Court for the Southern District for Ohio, the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District for Ohio and all immigration courts.
